About Us

Sri Mathru Mahila Mandali

We cater to the overall socioeconomic growth of the poor, particularly women and children, to make them self-reliant and informed in Bellary, Karnataka.

Sri Mathru Mahila Mandali is a voluntary organization established in 2018 in Bellary District, Karnataka. We work for education, culture, health, and women empowerment, especially with children and women in underprivileged communities. SMMM was started to develop information and links between villages and the government. We believe that knowledge leads to awareness, which leads to self-development, empowerment, and action.
Our areas of operation are Bellary, Sirguppa, Sundur, Kampli, Tornagallu, Bellary rural areas, and economically & medically underserved villages in urban areas.

Fashion Design

Livelihood Training Workshop for SHG Members

We organized a livelihood training workshop for SHG members in Bellary. The workshop was conducted by a volunteer of our organization, who is a trained instructor in Tailoring, and Embroidery Work. About 20 SHG members and staff members attended the workshop, and they all participated with great enthusiasm.

World Environment Day

We celebrated World Environment Day in Government School, Bellary. Planted 9 saplings in the ground. More than 80 students participated in the program.

Women Empowerment through SHGs

SHGs (self-help groups) play an important role in making more women form SHGs and realize its importance in their empowerment. It helps women in collective decision-making and increases their confidence and capabilities. We used to meet regularly, once a month. It has provided a great incentive to make the poor self-reliant and give them hope.

Community Centered Health Program

The Community Centered Health Program has taken primary health care services to the doorsteps of disadvantaged communities in the villages of Bellary. Following a two-pronged approach, the program provides prophylactic and preventive services, addressing gaps in access, availability and affordability of health care.

Cultural Program

Cultural programs play an important role in strengthening the overall cultural identity of a society. Therefore, we arrange cultural activities for socially and economically backward people in Bellary.

Festival Celebration

Annual Sports Meet

Annual sports meet was conducted wherein athletics and games like Kabaddi, Throw ball and Volley ball was conducted. Trophy was given to the deserving team.
